Penitentiary Hollow Wild Walk – Lake Mineral Wells SP

This guided hike goes into remote areas only accessible with a park guide—sandstone formations, tight cracks, crevices, and short cave-like spaces. You may crawl, squeeze, and scoot through a few spots. This one is strenuous and takes 2-2 1/2 hours.
Wild Walks begin at the Penitentiary Hollow Trailhead in front of the restrooms.
Expect to get dirty!
